Saltwater is a collection of paintings depicting the California coast. The coastline is a visual fulcrum in dynamic balance between polarities — the world’s largest body of water meeting the edge of a continent. The impact can be as loud as a roar, as gentle as a whisper, or any nuance in between. As the light shifts throughout the day, filtered through the mercurial atmosphere of the ocean, it encounters the endless nooks and crannies of the earth, producing a kaleidoscope of form, color and mood.
