En Plein Air

These artworks were painted outdoors on location. Painting outside allows me to react to the energy of the subject, the mood & atmosphere, and magic of time & place — and directly translate them to a work of art.

Seascapes

As light shifts across the sea, filtered through the mercurial atmosphere of the ocean, it encounters the endless nooks and crannies of the earth, producing a kaleidoscope of form, color and mood.

Landscapes

These paintings are a celebration of the natural environment, and strive to evoke an experience with nature. I primarily paint California scenes.

Urban

As a San Francisco resident, I interpret industrial and built environments through the lens of my stories and daily life.
